The Evening I Lost Track of Time

Half past ten on a weeknight. I was in bed and opened social media "just for five minutes". You know how that goes. Video after video, each one pulling me into the next, until I looked up and it was almost midnight.

What I remember most is how strange I felt afterwards. I was tired – but I hadn't rested. I'd spent an hour and a half doing something that was supposed to relax me, and I felt nothing at all. That was when it clicked: I wasn't choosing to pick up my phone. I was doing it automatically, without ever asking myself whether I actually needed to.

Since that evening, I've been trying to put the phone aside a little before I go to sleep. It's a small thing. But I rest better, and I feel more present in my everyday life.

Ce am învățat

I sometimes use my phone out of habit, not because I really need it. The time I spend online affects my mood and my routine more than I thought – and small changes, like putting the phone aside before bed, can make a real difference.

Ce am schimbat

I put my phone away about thirty minutes before bed and try not to open social media without a clear reason. Instead, I listen to music or read a few pages. I don't always manage it, but I fall asleep more easily and feel more rested the next day.
